8ct. Diamond Ring to Lead Sotheby’s Jewelry Sale

Sotheby’s is set to offer an 8-carat diamond ring at its upcoming Important Jewels sale, where it is expected to bring in up to $350,000. 

The cushion-cut, D-color, internally flawless diamond ring is the highlight of the auction, which will take place in New York on September 20, according to Sotheby’s. The sale will also feature an unmounted emerald-cut, 18.91-carat Colombian emerald with a high estimate of $350,000. 

A pair of ear clips by Van Cleef & Arpels containing diamonds clusters and detachable “mystery-set” ruby pendants will go on the auction block with a high price tag of $300,000. An emerald-cut, 10.59-carat, H-color, VVS2-clarity diamond ring will also hope to find a buyer for up to $300,000. Meanwhile a Bulgari ring with a pear-shaped, 14.22-carat Ceylon sapphire surrounded by emeralds and diamonds carries a high estimate of $250,000. 

Other notable items at the sale include a ring with a heart-shaped, 16.24-carat, fancy-yellow, VS1-clarity diamond. That piece is expected to achieve as much as $180,000. A ring with a round, 5.05-carat, F-color, VVS1-clarity diamond center stone, flanked by baguette diamonds, is also estimated to sell for up to $180,000. Other jewels by well-known design houses, such as Tiffany & Co., Mauboussin, and Cartier, will also be on offer.
