A measure of how few inclusions and blemishes a diamond has, graded from FL to I3. This serves as one parameter of the Rapaport Price List and one of the diamond search filters on Rapaport Trade.
Natural diamonds form under extreme heat and pressure, meaning most contain tiny internal features called inclusions and surface features called blemishes. Clarity measures how few of these features are present and how visible they are under 10x magnification. Fewer and smaller imperfections mean higher clarity and higher overall value.
On Rapaport Trade, VS1 and VVS2 stand out as the two most-searched clarities, accounting for roughly 37% of all clarity searches.
| Grade | Meaning |
| FL / IF | Flawless or Internally Flawless. No inclusions visible under 10x magnification. |

| VS1 / VS2 | Very slightly included. Minor inclusions, difficult to see under 10x. |
| SI1 / SI2 | Slightly included. Inclusions noticeable under 10x, often eye-clean. |
| I1 / I2 / I3 | Included. Inclusions visible under 10x and sometimes to the naked eye. |
