Roi Sheinfeld, managing partner of diamond manufacturer M&B Group, came on the Rapaport Diamond Podcast this week to review the recent Hong Kong fair, which occurred amid sluggish Chinese consumer demand.
Speaking with Rapaport’s Joshua Freedman, Sheinfeld noted the slow sales and traffic at the Hong Kong International Diamond, Gem & Pearl Show, which ran from February 27 to March 2. He also explained recent trends in the region’s retail market and why we need to think differently about Chinese New Year.
Sheinfeld, who moved to Hong Kong from Israel, also shared his views on the future of the Israeli diamond industry.
