Pink and Blue Diamond Ring Set to Star at Bonhams Sale

A toi et moi ring by Mouawad featuring pink and blue diamonds will lead the upcoming London Jewels sale at Bonhams, where it is estimated to fetch up to GBP 1.5 million ($1.9 million). 

The jewel, which Bonhams will offer on June 13, is set with two radiant-cut diamonds: a 5.03-carat, fancy-intense blue and a 5.13-carat, fancy purple-pink. The gallery and shoulders are pavé set with brilliant-cut, pink and blue-tinted diamonds, Bonhams said Wednesday. 

A diamond fringe necklace created around 1950 will also go on the auction block. Designed with graduating baguette- and brilliant-cut diamonds, the piece has a diamond fringe and pear-shaped diamond drops. It carries a presale estimate of GBP 200,000 to GBP 300,000 ($254,309 to $381,464). 

Meanwhile, a diamond rivière necklace from the 19th century is set to go under the hammer. The piece, which contains cushion-shaped diamonds, is estimated at up to GBP 100,000 ($127,167). A pendant necklace by Graff, with a rectangular brilliant-cut, 9.73-carat, fancy-yellow diamond set beneath a heart-shaped, yellow-tinted diamond has a price range of GBP 75,000 to GBP 95,000 ($95,349 to $120,775). Bonhams will also sell a rare Art Deco diamond bracelet created around 1950 by Van Cleef & Arpels. Featuring 43.50 carats in total, the bracelet is set to bring in up to GBP 90,000 ($114,425). 

The 120-lot sale will also include a range of jewels from well-known design houses, such as Bulgari, Boucheron and Cartier, as well as pieces ranging from Archaeological Revival to Art Deco, the auction house added.
