Jewelers of America (JA) has elected Coleman Clark, president of Oklahoma-based retailer BC Clark, to head its board of directors.
Clark, whose family has owned and operated the business since 1892, has served on the JA board in several capacities over the past decade, the organization said last week. He was chosen for the role at the JA’s annual general meeting on October 2.
The new chief will join current executive committee members Matthew Rosenheim of Tiny Jewel Box, who is chair-elect; vice chairs Steve Padis of Padis Jewelers and Elise Greenberg of Greenberg’s Jewelers; secretary Steve Velasquez of Madison Jewelers; treasurer Karen Goracke of Borsheims; and immediate past chair Robert Moeller of R.F. Moeller Jewelers.
Additionally, JA appointed the following three directors on October 3 for a three-year term:
- Constance Polamalu, chief operating officer at Zachary’s Jewelers in Annapolis, Maryland.
- Hunter Tivol McGrath, CEO of Tivol Jewelers in Kansas City, Missouri.
- Julie Keeney, vice president of Fred Meyer Jewelers in Portland, Oregon.
