James Allen’s Oded Edelman to Leave Signet

October 28, 2024  |  Joshua Freedman

James Allen cofounder Oded Edelman is set to leave Signet Jewelers, some seven years after the jewelry group acquired the online retailer.

Edelman, Signet’s chief digital innovation officer and president of its digital banners, will cease to be an employee of the company on February 1, 2025, the US retailer announced last week. The agreement between the parties also allows for him leave on or after December 1, 2024, at the company’s discretion.

Corinne Bentzen, who was most recently CEO at The Company Store, a division of US retailer The Home Depot, will succeed Edelman as president for digital banners, starting November 4. Bentzen spent three years at Tiffany & Co. between 2016 and 2019, according to her LinkedIn profile. Edelman will assist his successor during a transition period.

Signet bought R2Net, James Allen’s owner, for $328 million in 2017.
