Benoît Repellin Takes On Global Role at Phillips

May 15, 2023  |  Leah Meirovich

Phillips has promoted Benoît Repellin to worldwide head of jewelry as part of an effort to expand its presence in the category across the Americas, Europe and Asia.

Repellin joined Phillips last year as head of jewelry for Europe. In June, he stepped in as interim worldwide head when Graeme Thompson left. During that time, he “greatly contributed to the success of the fall season,” Phillips said last week.

“As a seasoned specialist and dynamic auctioneer, Benoît has brought to Phillips a depth of knowledge and expertise that has championed our jewels department, achieving successful sales in both Hong Kong and New York over the past two seasons.” noted Phillips CEO Stephen Brooks.

Phillips has been developing its jewelry department over the past few years, adding new markets and broadening its scope in the Americas, Europe and Asia, it explained.

Prior to Phillips, Repellin held an executive position at Sotheby’s in its jewelry department. His primary focus was on the European market. However, he has also worked with collectors, dealers and teams around the world, including in New York and Hong Kong, Phillips added.
