The Ultimate Peacock

RAPAPORT…
A guardian of royalty, a symbol of good luck, renewal and immortality, the peacock is more than just an exquisite bird. Graff Diamonds has captured the essence of the mystical peacock in a 120.81-carat diamond brooch, showcasing 1,305 diamonds. The heart of the peacock highlights a 20.02-carat fancy deep blue pear-shaped diamond. The piece has a special clasp in the back that allows the center blue diamond to be removed and worn on its own. An array of colored and white diamonds fans out to form the magnificent feathers of the peacock’s tail. A team of ten people, including the creative director, senior gemologist and master craftsmen at the Graff workshop in London, spent over six months creating the peacock brooch. The piece debuted at the fine art and antiques fair TEFAF in Maastricht, Netherlands, in March. To be a part of this prestigious art fair, entries are strictly vetted for quality, authenticity and condition. The peacock brooch is valued at $100 million.
