Favorite Colors

Color makes us feel good. The colors we wear help to define our style and show our individuality. What better way to wear color than in colored gemstone jewelry? Each year the American Gem Trade Association (AGTA) honors designers who create colored gemstone jewelry with its AGTA Spectrum Awards. The event encourages creativity and designers rise to the challenge of making jewelry that breaks through the boundaries of tradition. The event was held in New York City where judges reviewed close to 650 items and selected the winners based on overall beauty and wearability, innovative design, effective use of materials, quality of gemstones and workmanship, consumer appeal and ability to generate publicity. After the judging, the winning pieces were revealed at a New York City preview for editors, stylists and influencers. Winning designers will be presented with their awards at a celebration during the AGTA GemFair in Tucson, Arizona, on February 4, 2017.
