Who:
Stella Flame, jewelry designer and creator of the Story Chain necklace.
Based in Greenwich Village, Southampton, New York and Istanbul.

In Stella’s words:
“I aim for something modern with a classic take. It has to be pretty and empowering.”

Inspiration:
“The Story Chain was inspired by my mother’s old-school charm bracelet with the Eiffel Tower and a Cadillac. I wanted to tell a different and contemporary story about life — where we’ve been, what we aspire to — something that works as a narrative.”

Stella tells her story:
“My Story Chain (shown in the photo above) has a Napoleonic bee because I am the queen bee. It has a bar that says “mine” in diamonds because it is my story. My daughter goes to Tulane University so I have a fleur-de-lis for New Orleans with her birthstone on the back. There is a sun amulet, a moon amulet and a skull amulet because I love her all the days, all the nights and forever. A music note comes next because we live in harmony and a compass rose represents our journey together. There is a dragon because we are fierce and a crown because we are righteous.”
