Stephen Silver Fine Jewelry: Bringing the Bling to Silicon Valley

Move over, tech; Silicon Valley will soon boast a new distinction: It will be home to Middle Plaza, a prestige retail and dining destination spanning more than 35,000 square feet near downtown Menlo Park, California. Spearheading the $100 million-plus development, which is scheduled to open this fall, are Stephen and Jared Silver, principals of Stephen Silver Fine Jewelry.

“We realized there was no Madison Avenue or Rodeo Drive in Silicon Valley, even though it is home to some of the world’s most affluent residents, not all of whom are in the tech industry,” says Jared. “Our clients reflect the area’s diverse population and are hungry for world-class experiences right in their backyard.”

For over 40 years, Stephen Silver Fine Jewelry has been rooted in the San Francisco Bay area. While Middle Plaza represents “the latest chapter” in the company’s evolution, Jared credits late real-estate developer John Arrillaga with inspiring them to undertake this venture.

Citing authenticity as the primary criterion for selecting their retail partners, Jared explains that “every aspect of the project comes from our personal network of people who believe in the opportunity for this community and meet our exacting standards.”

Extensive outdoor and indoor showroom space will enhance Middle Plaza’s inviting ambience. The ground floor will house Stephen Silver Fine Jewelry, as well as several mono-brand boutiques. Michelin-starred restaurateur Ayesha Thapar will open Eylan, a new dining concept.

The second floor will feature the lounge-like Stephen Silver showroom, plus a multi-brand watch lounge with timepieces from Bulgari, Hermès and Bovet, among others. The penthouse-style third floor will be home to Stephen Silver’s private high-jewelry salon and new corporate headquarters.

“Middle Plaza is poised to be Silicon Valley’s most significant retail development of the decade,” says Jared. “We are excited to lead the way in changing the landscape of our hometown for the better with a new space for the community to gather.”
