Rapaport Magazine Means Business: New Look, New Feel, New Stories

April 18, 2023  |  Rapaport News

In the March-April issue, we present a new look for the magazine, with a fresh design and sections dedicated to colored gemstones, pre-owned watches, retail, auctions and estate jewelry, as well as many of our regular features.

In this edition, we turn our attention to the polished market to see what consumers are clamoring for now. We also delve into the world of corporate social responsibility, documenting the latest in responsible sourcing and taking a hard look at the practice of greenwashing. Plus: Is it time to consider selling on TikTok, or should jewelers sit this one out?

Looking further afield, we lay out a few key lessons from the ICA Congress in Dubai, and report back from the Tucson gem shows and TEFAF estate fair. We share some timely data on the pre-owned watch market, offer a glimpse into the thriving tier-two auction landscape, and hear tips from two interior design experts on how to remodel your store. Also, Kay Jewelers president Bill Brace tells us how he got to the top.

On the style front, we home in on lock-inspired jewels, antique gold chains, and the delightful contrasts of mixing rough and faceted stones. Hopping across the globe, we marvel at the fused gems of Japanese jeweler Yutai, and speak to Corinne Le Foll of Dinh Van about her plans to make the iconic French brand a US household name.

The above articles are from the March-April 2023 issue of Rapaport Magazine. View other articles here.
