Farber Auction House will offer more than 210 jewelry pieces at a sale to raise funds for Israeli charities amid the country’s war with Hamas.
The November 28 auction, called Precious Aid, will feature items that the global jewelry industry has donated, New Jersey-based Farber said Wednesday. They include pieces from iconic brands, including Tiffany & Co., Bulgari, and Cartier, and jewels from Le Vian, David Yurman and Marie Lichtenberg.
“All jewelers who have donated pieces create jewels of different styles, work with varying materials, and are based across the globe, but what joins them together is their desire to provide relief, aid and support to those in Israel who have lost everything, and to those who are relentlessly working to bring the hostages home,” the release stated.
All proceeds from the auction will benefit IsraAid, a humanitarian aid organization, and Magen David Adom, the national emergency medical service.
Leading the sale is a necklace by Mauboussin featuring approximately 17 carats of diamonds as well as sapphires. It has a presale estimate of $40,000 to $50,000.
Also on offer is a one-year subscription to Rapaport’s RapNet and a special one-hour consultation with Rapaport Chairman Martin Rapaport. The package, which has a retail value of $1,400, is estimated to fetch between $500, and $1,000.
