The Antwerp World Diamond Centre (AWDC) has appointed Isidore Mörsel as president, to succeed David Gotlib, who resigned in September.

Sahag Arslanian of Arslanian Group and Amish Jain of N.N. Diamonds will continue to serve as vice presidents of the board, AWDC added.

AWDC’s board of directors unanimously chose Mörsel, the CEO of Belgium-based dealer Dali Diamond Company, the organization said last week. From 2008 to 2012, Mörsel served as a board member of AWDC’s high diamond council, where he played a crucial role in shaping the industry’s policies and practices, AWDC explained. He rejoined the board in 2020.

The board also named Talia Pruwer, director of Espeka diamond trader in Belgium, to take Gotlib’s seat on the board, representing the trade.
