Colored Diamonds to Shine at Bonhams Auction

A pink-diamond ring will be one of the leading lots at the upcoming Bonhams sale in Hong Kong, where it is expected to bring in up to HKD 5 million ($640,000).

The ring features a modified shield brilliant-cut, 1.08-carat, fancy-vivid-pink, internally flawless clarity diamond, set in a contemporary-style mount adorned with round brilliant-cut and tapered baguette-cut diamonds totaling 13.90 carats. It will lead the May 22 Hong Kong Jewels and Jadeite sale, according to the auction house’s website.

Pieces from well-known design houses will also be on offer, including Harry Winston, Cartier and Bulgari.

The Kat Florence Lumina, an unmounted Paraiba tourmaline at Bonhams image — The Kat Florence Lumina, an unmounted cushion-shaped, 181.61-carat, greenish-blue Paraiba-type tourmaline, has a top price tag of HKD 5 million ($640,000).

Pair of Harry Winston ruby and diamond earrings at Bonhams image — This pair of Harry Winston earrings is expected to bring in up to HKD 3.8 million ($490,000). The earrings feature cushion-shaped, 6.98 and 6.96-carat rubies, each with a surmount containing marquise- and round brilliant-cut diamonds.

Ruby and diamond necklace at Bonhams image — This necklace contains 44 oval pigeon’s blood Burmese rubies weighing a total of 49.09 carats. Designed as a graduated fringe of pear-shaped and round brilliant-cut diamonds, with the front sporting a larger oval ruby pendant, it’s set to fetch up to HKD 2.8 million ($360,000).

Yellow diamond ring at Bonhams image image — This ring bears an oval shaped, 7.03-carat, fancy-vivid yellow, internally flawless diamond, with its shoulders and gallery set with round brilliant-cut diamonds. It has an upper estimate of HKD 2.5 million ($320,000).

Cartier sapphire, emerald and diamond bracelet at Bonhams image — This Cartier bracelet designed as two opposing panther heads is pavé-set with 18.10 carats of brilliant-cut diamonds and 12 carats of buff-top calibrated sapphires, and features emerald eyes and an onyx nose. It is estimated to fetch HKD 2.5 million ($320,000).

Ring featuring red Tanzanian spinel between two diamonds at Bonhams image — This ring with an oval-shaped, 15.06-carat, orange-red Tanzanian spinel between two oval diamonds weighing 0.60 and 0.66 carats has a top price of HKD 2 million ($260,000).

Unmounted yellow diamond at Bonhams image — Bonhams will sell this ring for as much as HKD 1.5 million ($190,000). It has a cut-cornered rectangular mixed-cut, 17.46-carat, fancy-yellow, VS2-clarity diamond, with prongs and ring shank fully pavé-set with round brilliant-cut diamonds weighing a total of approximately 2.20 carats.

Ring sporting a cushion-shaped, fancy-vivid-yellow, SI2-clarity diamond at Bonhams image — This ring sports a cushion-shaped, 5.08-carat, fancy-vivid-yellow, SI2-clarity diamond, set with round brilliant-cut diamonds on the shank. It has an upper estimate of HKD 1.5 million ($190,000).

Ring featuring an oval, 2.15-carat, greenish-blue Paraiba tourmaline at Bonhams image — Bearing an oval, 2.15-carat, greenish-blue Paraiba tourmaline, this ring is decorated with pear-shaped and round brilliant-cut diamonds that have a total weight of 3.85 carats. It’s set to bring in up to HKD 1.5 million ($190,000).
