The Centurion Jewelry Show has put out a call for entries to
its fourth annual Emerging Designers competition. Open to all designers who
have never exhibited in a U.S. fine jewelry show, entrants must have the
ability to exhibit at a trade fair and supply retailers who purchase the line.
Six winners will be awarded a complimentary exhibit at the 2012 Centurion Show,
January 29 to 31, in Scottsdale, Arizona. Deadline for entry is October 15,
2011. For rules and entry form, goh2consult.com/Centurion_2012_Emerging_Designers_Competition_Entry_Form.pdf.

Roberto Coin, in conjunction with London Jewelers, has
launched a set of signature bracelets in support of the Lustgarten Foundation. The
bracelet comes in 18-karat gold, sterling silver or silver purple oxidized
versions; $500, $150 and $100 of the purchase price will be donated to the
foundation, respectively. The Lustgarten Foundation was founded in 1998 in
support of the fight against pancreatic cancer.

The Jewelry Information Center (JIC) held its annual Fine
Jewelry Preview and Luncheon for stylists and editors in New York City. The
event is held to encourage editorial coverage of fine jewelry and watches in
the consumer press. American Gem Trade Association (AGTA), Cultured Pearl
Association of America (CPAA), Jewelers Mutual Insurance Company, Platinum
Guild International (PGI) USA and World Gold Council (WGC) all participated.
The JIC picked the following trends as standouts from the event: blackened
sterling silver, baroque cultured pearls, high-karat gold jewelry, highly
saturated colored gemstones and entry-level platinum.

Moving into the chilly fall and winter season, The Touch has
the perfect charms for the season — an assortment of leaves, snowflakes,
jack-o-lanterns and wreaths. The charms are available in sterling silver or
gold; some are accented with diamonds.

Inspired by her family of French-Israeli couturiers and a
career in the film production business,Alexandra Mor has debuted a collection
of jewelry that expresses her high-fashion aesthetic. She pushes the boundaries
of bold expression, adding intricate details that enhance the precious diamonds
and gems she uses. Simplicity and perfect symmetry form the signature style of
the pieces in her collection. All of Mor’s creations are designed in her New
York City studio and are then crafted in the U.S. by a team of highly skilled
jewelers who bring her contemporary vision to life using old-world
craftsmanship.
