Ex-Stornoway Exec Becomes Lucara CFO

RAPAPORT… Lucara Diamond Corp. has appointed Zara Boldt as its chief financial officer and corporate secretary, as part of an effort to consolidate its management team, the miner said last week.

“[Zara] will be focused on maximizing the value of Lucara’s core diamond-mining business at Karowe, and will support the development of Clara, our new secure, digital diamond-sales platform,” said CEO Eira Thomas.

Lucara is merging two senior positions into one: Boldt (pictured) will replace CFO Glenn Kondo, as well as legal and corporate secretary and vice president Jennifer Lecour. The move is part of a company-wide effort to bring all of Lucara’s management together in the Vancouver office, Thomas added.

Boldt was previously chief financial officer and corporate secretary for Strongbow Exploration. She was also vice president of finance and chief financial officer for Stornoway Diamond Corporation, which Lucara CEO Thomas cofounded.

Kondo and Lecour will remain at the company in an advisory capacity until the end of May.
