RAPAPORT… Trans Atlantic Gem Sales (TAGS) has appointed Paul Duncombe as chief operating officer for Dubai, in a bid to garner more business.
Dumcombe was most recently head of operations for Grib Diamonds in Belgium, TAGS said last week. He has also worked in executive roles for De Beers, Rio Tinto and BHP Billiton. TAGS is relying on his broad knowledge and understand of the mining industry, as well as of the entire value chain, to attract new clients, it noted.
“With a record of significant growth in our business during the past five years, we firmly believe that the addition of Paul will provide us with the opportunity to take our business to the next level, and encourage additional producers to use TAGS as their preferred marketing buyer,” the company added.
