A necklace featuring a 90.80-carat, light-brown diamond will lead a special Christie’s sale in Shanghai, China, where it could fetch up to CNY 18 million ($2.7 million).
From William Goldberg, the Starlight necklace’s central gem is a pear brilliant-cut, W-to-X range, VS2-clarity, type IIa diamond, suspended from a yellow rectangular-cut diamond, on a chain of pink pear-shaped diamonds and variously cut colorless diamonds. It will take center stage at the Luxury Evening Sale on November 13.
The sale, which is taking place to celebrate the auction house’s 40th anniversary in Asia, will also feature signed pieces from iconic houses including Harry Winston, Tiffany & Co., Chaumet, and Graff. A watch session with contemporary and neo-vintage timepieces from Patek Philippe, Rolex, Cartier and Omega will follow the event.

A ring with a heart-shaped brilliant-cut, 10.82-carat, D, internally flawless, type IIa diamond between pear-shaped diamonds.
A set comprising earrings and a ring with oval jadeite cabochons and heart and round diamonds.

This ring has a heart-shaped, 6.84-carat Muzo Colombian emerald at its core. The gem is in a surround of pear-shaped and brilliant-cut diamonds as well as variously cut Argyle pink diamonds.
Wallace Chan created this brooch in the shape of a rearing stallion. The piece is covered in variously shaped yellow and brown diamonds, round diamonds, pink sapphires and carved rock crystal.
