Jewelers of America (JA) has promoted Amanda Gizzi to senior vice president of corporate affairs.
Gizzi most recently served as the organization’s director of public relations and events, JA said Tuesday. She began her career in 2001 at the Jewelry Information Center, which joined JA in 2009. Over the years, she has become a nationally recognized spokesperson and jewelry expert, appearing on TV, radio and podcasts to discuss fine jewelry and watches.
In her newly expanded role at JA, Gizzi will be in charge of external affairs, overseeing strategic communications, public relations, government affairs, and education, among other things. She will continue to manage all of JA’s special events, including the GEM Awards, which she has played a key role in transforming into a premier event for the fine-jewelry sector.
“[Gizzi] has been a dedicated and dynamic voice for the jewelry industry for more than two decades,” said JA president and CEO David Bonaparte. “Her leadership, media expertise, and deep industry relationships have elevated our public profile and engagement efforts. We are thrilled to recognize her contributions with this expanded role.”
