The Women’s Jewelry Association (WJA) has appointed Nikia Levesque as vice president of its foundation, also naming several new board members.
Levesque’s journey in the jewelry industry started in high school, when she worked for Day’s Jewelers in the service department. She worked her way up to her current position of vice president of marketing for the retailer, the WJA said last week.
“Nikia brings a dynamic blend of industry expertise and unwavering commitment to empowering women,” said WJA president Susan Chandler. “Her leadership will undoubtedly propel the WJA Foundation’s mission forward, inspiring countless women to reach new heights in their jewelry careers.”
Besides Levesque, the other new board members include Brittany Merrill, general merchandise manager and divisional vice president for Helzberg Diamonds; Elda Fistani, vice president for retail sales at Gabriel & Co.; Melissa Rodgers, director of business development at M. Schamroth & Sons; Robert J. Goldberg, senior vice president of business development of Citizen Watch America; and Tracey Carswell, founder of Powerful in Pink and cofounder of Queer Metalsmiths.
