RAPAPORT… Vast Resources has been invited to mine at the Marange
diamond fields in Zimbabwe as part of a joint venture.
The UK-headquartered miner will collaborate with the
Chiadzwa Community Development Trust, which was granted the right to mine the
Heritage Concession portion of the site, Vast said last week.
Russian miner Alrosa and China’s Anjin Investments have been invited to return to the county, the Zimbabwe Consolidated Diamond Company (ZCDC) said earlier this month. At the time, it told Rapaport News that any other companies
interested in mining in Zimbabwe would be required to partner with either those
miners, or the two other companies approved for mining operations in the
country, ZCDC and Murowa Diamonds.
