A pair of unmounted oval-shaped, D-flawless diamonds weighing 20.29 and 20.28 carats will also go under the hammer. Together, they have a high estimate of HKD 32 million ($4.1 million).
A ring set with a cut-cornered rectangular modified brilliant-cut, 3-carat, fancy-vivid-bluish-green diamond inside a pink diamond border is estimated at up to HKD 30 million ($3.8 million) at the sale. Sotheby’s will also sell a jadeite and diamond parure comprising a necklace, a pair of earrings and a ring, as well as a separate jadeite bead and diamond necklace. Also hitting the auction block is a diamond tiara from the 1930s that Lady Smith, the wife of Member of Parliament Sir John Smith, wore to events the queen held at Buckingham Palace.
