A pair of Cartier pink and white diamond earrings was the top seller at a recent jewelry sale at Sotheby’s in Hong Kong, fetching HKD 22.3 million ($2.9 million).
The set contains two pear-shaped diamonds, one a 6.32-carat, fancy-intense-pink, SI2-clarity, and the other a 6.03-carat, D-color, internally flawless, suspended from pink and white diamonds. The earrings, which missed their low estimate, were among the 111 lots that sold at the April 25 Hong Kong High Jewelry sale, according to the auction house’s website.
In total, the auction brought in HKD 148.2 million ($19.1 million). Sotheby’s also offered a range of jewels from well-known design houses, including Cartier, Graff, and Van Cleef & Arpels.
