A Graff diamond ring was the top seller at a recent Sotheby’s jewelry sale in New York, where it brought in $3.2 million.
The ring features an emerald-cut, 35.01-carat, D-color, VVS2-clarity, type IIa diamond, set between a pair of triangle-shaped diamonds. The piece sold just above its $3 million upper estimate at the June 13 High Jewelry auction, Sotheby’s said last week.
In total, the sale brought in $31.4 million, with 95% of lots finding buyers and many pieces selling above their high asking prices. Sotheby’s also offered jewelry from famous design houses such as JAR, Harry Winston and Boucheron.
