A yellow-diamond ring took center stage at a recent jewelry sale at Sotheby’s in New York, where it brought in $152,400.
The ring, which bears a 4.20-carat, fancy-vivid-yellow, VVS2-clarity diamond flanked by two emerald-cut diamonds weighing a total of 2.15 carats, was the star of the June 16 Fine Jewelry auction, Sotheby’s said Monday. The piece sold within its estimated presale range.
In total, the auction garnered $8.4 million, with 90% of lots finding buyers. It included jewels from famous design houses such as Harry Winston, Graff, and Tiffany & Co.
