Tzafrir Engelhard will succeed David Block as Sarine Technologies’ next CEO, with his appointment taking effect July 1.

Engelhard joined the company almost two decades ago and has held various positions within business development, operations and leadership, the diamond-technology company said Monday.  Over the past nine years, he has been vice president of business development collaborations. Engelhard also served as managing director of the group’s Indian subsidiary.

Engelhard brings to the position his broad experience of the entire value chain — especially the midstream and downstream segments — as well as knowledge of the group’s values, Sarine added.

“The selection reached is…one of a broad consensus,” said Sarine’s executive chairman of the board, Daniel Glinert. “We have complete confidence in [Engelhard’s] capabilities, and the board will support him to the utmost to ensure continuity, stability and long-term growth.”

Block will be stepping down after nine years as CEO.
