Six of the top 10 pieces Sotheby’s will offer at its upcoming Paris jewelry sale feature sapphires.
However, the top lot is a cushion-shaped, 7.39-carat, D-color, internally flawless diamond ring from Van Cleef & Arpels. The piece carries an estimate of EUR 330,000 to EUR 550,000 ($382,537 to $637,562) at the March 31 Fine Jewelry sale, according to the Sotheby’s website.
The auction house will also offer jewels from other well-known designers including Cartier, Chaumet and Harry Winston.

This ring showcases an antique cushion-cut, 4.32-carat Kashmir sapphire in an old-cut diamond surround.

Sotheby’s will offer this necklace, comprising a row of 33 rounded, oval, button and drop-shaped natural pearls, and a clasp bearing an octagonal rhodolite garnet and circular-cut diamonds.

Cartier is the maker of this pendant, which features a pear-shaped, 12.76-carat Ceylon sapphire suspended from a brilliant-cut diamond surmount.

This ring sports an oval-shaped, 7.7-carat Burmese sapphire between triangular diamonds.
