Richline’s Dave Meleski Named New RJC Chair

The Responsible Jewellery Council has chosen Richline CEO Dave Meleski as its new chairman, effective Monday.

He replaces David Bouffard, who has served as chair since 2018.

“It is a critical time for the RJC to continue to grow and lead the global supply chain in setting standards for our industry,” said Meleski. “Richline has been involved at the board and committee level since the beginning of the RJC, and as a global manufacturing company with retail customers around the world, we have helped promote the importance of the RJC as our singular voice for compliance standards since its inception.”

RJC executive director Melanie Grant will report directly to Meleski.

Edward Asscher, honorary chairman of Asscher Diamonds, was also in the running for the chairmanship. He will continue as vice chair, according to the RJC.
