A ring featuring a 15.48-carat diamond, known as the Pink Supreme, was the star item at the most recent Christie’s jewelry auction in Hong Kong, fetching HKD 83.9 million ($10.8 million).
The cushion brilliant-cut, fancy-intense-pink, internally flawless diamond was one of several colored diamonds comprising the top five at the November 27 Magnificent Jewels sale. The sale price fell within the piece’s HKD 70 million to HKD 100 million ($9 million to $12.8 million) presale price range.
In total, Christie’s garnered HKD 491.4 million ($63.1 million) from the sale.
