The London Diamond Bourse (LDB) has elected David Troostwyk as president to succeed Alan Cohen, who has stepped down after multiple terms.
Troostwyk, whom the LBD appointed at its annual general meeting on May 23, has been vice president of the organization since 2022, but has spent the past six months as copresident alongside Cohen, the exchange said Tuesday. Meanwhile, David Joffe, will exit after 30 years as treasurer, and Trevor Sigsworth, who has been on the committee for the past 10 years, will also leave.
“With the wealth of experience from our existing committee members, we have a fantastic team of professionals ready to implement an ambitious agenda that will benefit our members and the broader UK diamond and jewelry industry,” said Troostwyk. “Notably, for the first time in LDB history, we have achieved equal representation of female committee members.”
