Bracken is currently the CEO of Australian retailer Specialty Fashion Group, a position he has held since February. Previously, he was deputy CEO of the Myer department-store chain.

Taylor, who has been with Michael Hill for more than 30 years, became CEO in 2017. He will remain with the jeweler for six months in a consultancy position.
Bracken will officially begin in his new role on November 15.
