The National Diamond Council (NDC) has appointed Susie Dewey as its chief marketing officer, in an effort to strengthen its global presence.

In her new role, Dewey will lead the international marketing and communication strategy, advancing the NDC’s goal of enhancing the narrative of the natural diamond and boosting the council’s position at the intersection of culture, creativity and impact, it said Monday. Dewey brings a holistic approach to modern marketing, blending creative and commercial thinking, the organization added.

Dewey’s appointment “marks an exciting moment for the Natural Diamond Council,” said CEO Amber Pepper. “Her ability to connect brand, culture and commercial impact makes her exceptionally well-placed to lead our global marketing efforts.”

Dewey has held senior positions at companies including Tapestry, Net-a-Porter and Michael Kors. During her 17-year career, she has overseen and integrated marketing strategies, establishing track records and advancing brand growth, attracting new customers and maintaining cultural relevance across global markets, the NDC said.
