The Jewelers Vigilance Committee (JVC) will present Rebecca Foerster, Hearts on Fire’s president for North America, with the Stanley Schechter Award.

The accolade, which the JVC established in 2002, recognizes industry leaders who have raised the jewelry community’s reputation through their dedication, ethics and integrity. Foerster will receive the award at JVC’s annual luncheon on March 13 in New York City, it said Sunday.

“[Foerster] lives and breathes the industry integrity and leadership values that were so important to Stanley,” said JVC CEO Sara Yood. “When I stepped into my leadership role at JVC, [she] worked right alongside me to ensure that I had strong and vocal support from JVC’s board of directors and the industry at large. Her guidance has been instrumental to the success of JVC, and she deeply cares about the overall health of the jewelry industry.”

Foerster’s two decades of experience in the luxury sector bring a dynamic blend of merchandising, marketing and operational expertise, along with an exceptional understanding of the US jewelry market, JVC explained. In addition to her role at the Chow Tai Fook-owned jewelry brand, she also serves on the board of directors for Jewelers for Children and on the executive committee of Diamonds Do Good, and is a natural diamonds ambassador.
