Jewelers of America (JA) will honor Ana Khouri with the GEM Award for High Jewelry Excellence.

The GEM awards committee recognized Khouri for her excellence in high-jewelry design, which has helped drive growing consumer demand for high jewelry, JA said last week. She will receive the prize at the 24th annual GEM Awards on March 13, 2026, in New York.

“Through a sculptural approach rooted in fine art, Ana Khouri has established a distinct and influential voice within high jewelry, defined by exceptional craftsmanship and ethical materials,” said Amanda Gizzi, JA’s senior vice president of corporate affairs. “Khouri’s work continues to elevate the category, offering designs that resonate deeply with collectors while expanding the boundaries of what high jewelry can be.”

Kouri founded her eponymous Ana Khouri brand in 2002. Her work in sculptural fine-arts practice led her to open the New York salon in 2013. She has since showcased her high jewelry in major solo exhibitions at Phillips, Sotheby’s, and Christie’s, as well as at the European Fine Art Foundation (TEFAF) New York. She offers unique pieces exclusively through her New York salon, while limited editions are available at The Row worldwide. She creates all of her designs using 18K Fairmined gold, platinum, and ethically and responsibly sourced gemstones.

Alongside the GEM Award for High Jewelry Excellence, the GEM Awards will also recognize honorees in Lifetime Achievement, Jewelry Design, Media Excellence, and Retail Innovation.
