Jewelers of America (JA) has revealed the names of the six jewelry trade associations that will receive its inaugural Impact Initiative grants.

The initiative is a multifaceted program aimed at advancing the growth and sustainability of the jewelry sector, the organization said Wednesday. The selected institutions represent both local and international audiences. The beneficiaries will receive funding for educational projects as well as those that increase access to the jewelry trade, enhance ethical practices and environmental responsibility, and promote innovation.

“We believe in the power of community, education and empowerment,” said JA CEO David Bonaparte. “The applicants for our first Impact Initiative share our goal to make the jewelry industry stronger. We are proud to support the six organizations and look forward to seeing their collective programs create meaningful change.”

The recipients are:

Black in Jewelry Coalition (BIJC) Education Fund

Diamonds Do Good (DDG)

Jewelers’ Security Alliance (JSA)

Jewelers Vigilance Committee (JVC)
