The Diamond Council of America (DCA) and Jewelers of America (JA) have reopened a fund dedicated to collecting donations for those in the industry who have been affected by California wildfires.
The two organizations have restarted the Jewelers Relief Fund, originally created in 2017, to provide aid to retail stores and manufacturers in the industry whose businesses were damaged, the groups said Friday.
“We are devastated to see the heartbreaking wildfires in California,” said JA CEO David Bonaparte. “Our hearts are with our fellow jewelers who are affected. We hope the Jewelers Relief Fund will unite our jewelry community to lessen the burden of our fellow jewelers who may have a long road of recovery ahead.”
Those who wish to contribute can make a donation through the Jewelers Relief Fund, while those in need can visit the same site and fill out a form requesting aid. The DCA will distribute 100% of all funds raised directly to the affected jewelry businesses, the groups added.
