A pear-shaped diamond ring by Van Cleef & Arpels will lead an upcoming jewelry sale at Heritage Auctions, carrying a high estimate of $300,000.

The 5.01-carat, D-color, internally flawless diamond ring will feature in the September 30 Fall Fine Jewelry Signature auction, Heritage said last week. A ring with a cut-cornered rectangular modified brilliant-cut, 16.07-carat, fancy-yellow, VS1-clarity diamond center stone, flanked by shield-shaped diamonds weighing approximately 2.65 carats, will also be on offer, estimated to sell for up to $225,000.

“This is an incredible sale,” said Jill Burgum, executive director of fine jewelry at Heritage. “It is full of punchy, bright, vibrant color to offset the icy diamonds. The auction’s designer offerings — both classic and contemporary — are tough to beat. On the contemporary front, we have an enormous collection of jewels by Nini. This is the first major auction of her jewelry, and it’s all being sold to benefit charity.”

Meanwhile, another ring, with a modified heart-shaped, 5.17-carat, F-color, VS2-clarity diamond carries a high price tag of $150,000. Heritage will also put a collection of brooches by Aldo Cipullo on the block. The set includes eight pieces in whimsical designs, such as a penguin, a seahorse, unicorns and the Incan creator god Viracocha. Items in that collection range from an upper estimate of $6,000 to a high price of $15,000.
