Fellows Auctioneers has appointed former Bonhams executive Robin Hereford as its new chairman.
Hereford brings more than 25 years of experience in the auction industry to the role, Fellows said Wednesday. Most recently, he was director of private clients at Bonhams and was also a director on its board .
In his new role, Hereford will oversee business development at the company. He will mainly be located at its Mayfair office in London.
“I am delighted to welcome [Hereford] to Fellows to join me in developing the business with which my family has been associated for just shy of 150 years,” said managing director Stephen Whittaker. “He brings a wealth of experience, which will assist in the continuing expansion of the company. [Hereford’s] extensive knowledge of the auction world will allow Fellows to enhance and grow our well-established auction business.”
