A fancy-intense-blue diamond will lead the upcoming Sotheby’s sale in New York, where it will have an upper estimate of $3 million.

The unmounted pear-shaped 3.48-carat, internally flawless diamond will go on the auction block at the December 9 High Jewelry sale, according to the Sotheby’s website.

The auction is offering more than 130 lots, including pieces from design houses such as Harry Winston, Van Cleef & Arpels, JAR, and Bulgari.
