Ex-Bonhams Exec to Grow Hindman’s New York Jewelry Offering

Leslie Roskind has joined Hindman as a senior specialist for jewelry and watches at the auction house’s recently opened New York office.

Roskind, who was most lately senior specialist and interim head of jewelry for Bonhams in Hong Kong, is tasked with deepening Hindman’s presence in New York and the US northeast region, Hindman’s said Tuesday. The auction house also has offices in Chicago, Illinois; Palm Beach, Florida; Denver, Colorado; and San Diego, California.

Prior to Bonhams, Roskind worked at Christie’s for 17 years, serving both New York and Los Angeles. During that time, she handled “significant” collections, including those of Elizabeth Taylor, Ellen Barkin and Jacqueline Delubac.

“[We] are excited by the impressive range of experience that [Roskind] will bring,” said Ruth Thuston, senior specialist for jewelry and watches in Chicago. “Pairing her distinctive expertise with our existing jewelry and watches team will be a great resource for the firm as we continue to grow.”
