Sotheby’s will offer a pair of diamond earrings featuring two 5.01-carat diamonds at its upcoming Geneva auction, for an upper estimate of CHF 240,000 ($304,106).
The lot sports two step-cut, E-color, VS2-clarity diamonds suspended from a line of brilliant-cut stones. It will lead the May 14 Fine Jewelry auction, according to the Sotheby’s website.
The sale includes over 280 pieces, with many bearing colored diamonds and gemstones, as well as jewels from famous design houses such as Van Cleef & Arpels, Graff and Bulgari.
Here are the rest of the top five pieces:

A diamond necklace with no reserve comprises a row of graduated step-cut diamonds that have a total weight of 61.72 carats, G to I color and internally flawless to VS2 clarity.

A bracelet centering a line of oval and cushion-shaped Burmese rubies, between lines of marquise-shaped and brilliant-cut diamonds.

A necklace sporting a detachable pendant with a cushion-shaped, 19.27-carat Nigerian Paraíba tourmaline, framed with pear-, marquise-shaped and brilliant-cut diamonds, and including similarly shaped diamonds along the necklace.

A collection of 41 pink sapphires of various shapes and sizes with a total weight of 52.62 carats. Some of the gems are of Madagascan origin.
