RAPAPORT… The World Jewellery Confederation (CIBJO) has postponed its upcoming general assembly in Italy following the rescheduling of a trade show that was due to take place at the same time.
CIBJO’s gathering, previously set for January 24 to 25, will now occur from March 17 to 18, the organization announced Monday. The venue — the Vicenza Expo Centre — remains unchanged.
The move comes after Italian Exhibition Group (IEG) pushed back its Vicenzaoro January fair to March because of Covid-19. The show and the CIBJO meeting will still run concurrently.
The CIBJO conference will follow a hybrid model, with delegates meeting in person in Vicenza, while participants around the world will be able to watch a livestream. In November 2021, CIBJO hosted its annual congress in a purely virtual format for the first time in its history.
