Christie’s to Offer 15ct. Sapphire at Its New York Auction

Christie’s will showcase a 15.49-carat sapphire ring at its upcoming auction in New York, where it has a high estimate of $1.8 million.

The piece centers a cushion mixed-cut Kashmir sapphire, embellished with round diamonds. It will be among the top lots at the June 9 Magnificent Jewels featuring the Azure Blue auction, Christie’s said Tuesday.

The sale features gemstones alongside notable private collections, offering a selection of historic and contemporary jewelry. Notable items include colored diamonds and gemstones, and pieces by houses such as Graff, Cartier and Bulgari.

Christie’s will lead the auction with two jewels: the Azure Blue pear-shaped, 31.62-carat diamond ring and a 5.04-carat, fancy-vivid-blue diamond ring. Each carries a high estimate of $8.5 million.
