Kering-owned jewelry brand Boucheron has expanded its presence into the US market, opening its first location in the country on New York’s Madison Avenue.
The new location is the first of “many more openings” in the US, Boucheron said last week. The move comes as the jeweler noted increased interest by US consumers in the brand.
Spanning 3,900 square feet, the new venue is inspired by the Art Deco movement, the company explained. The outside is built entirely of glass and metal in an emerald-cut design, while the inside uses custom-designed decorative features with bold lines and materials characteristic of New York Art Deco.
“After eight years at the helm of Boucheron, this is a dream come true,” said Boucheron CEO Hélène Poulit-Duquesne. “The US has always held a very special place in our maison’s history. We’ve had a strong relationship with the country ever since Boucheron was founded in 1858. Our clientele through the years has included some of America’s greatest families, as well as Hollywood movie stars…. Now we aim to raise our US profile further and familiarize Americans with the world of Boucheron. We’re entering a strategically important market that’s challenging and extremely competitive, but I’m convinced our positioning aligns perfectly with the expectations of American clients.”
