Bonhams has appointed former Cartier and Piaget executive Chabi Nouri as its global CEO.

Nouri, who will be based in the auction house’s London headquarters, was previously a private-equity partner for Swiss bank Mirabaud Group, Bonhams said Thursday. She also had stints as CEO of Richemont-owned watch and jewelry company Piaget, and held several positions during her 10 years at Cartier.

“[Nouri’s] experience and qualities make Chabi a perfect fit for the company,” said Bonhams executive chairman Hans-Kristian Hoejsgaard. “Having served as a CEO of a leading luxury company, and in her most recent role as a comanager of a private-equity fund, [she] has proven abilities as a strong brand builder, and for digital innovation. Her background in luxury also brings valuable experience and insight to one of the most important categories at Bonhams.”

Nouri will begin her new role with the company, which operates 14 international salesrooms, in October. In 2022, Bonhams bought Bukowskis in Stockholm, Sweden; Bruun Rasmussen in Copenhagen, Denmark; Skinner in Boston, Massachusetts; and Cornette de Saint Cyr in Paris.
