Bonhams has named former De Beers jewelry executive Céline Assimon as its chief commercial officer.
Assimon brings more than 20 years of experience to the position, Bonhams said last week. Prior to joining the company, she spent almost five years at the helm of De Beers London, also serving as CEO of De Beers Forevermark. Assimon was previously CEO of Swiss luxury jeweler De Grisogono and has held leadership positions at Richemont and Louis Vuitton.
In her new role, Assimon will be leading the company’s global commercial strategy and driving client experience. Based in London, she will play a vital role in expanding the auction house’s international platform and aligning its commercial vision, pushing growth and innovation across its divisions.
“[Assimon] brings a powerful blend of commercial expertise, leadership, and a deep understanding of the luxury market,” said Chabi Nouri, global CEO of Bonhams. “Her appointment reinforces our commitment to strengthening client relationships and enhancing Bonhams’s global commercial capabilities.”
