Bonhams will showcase a diamond necklace at its upcoming auction in California, where it has an upper estimate of $50,000.
The jewel features a symmetrical design with pear, oval and marquise-shaped diamonds throughout, totaling around 70 carats. The lot will be on offer without reserve at the July 28 Fine Jewelry: California sale, according to the Bonhams website.
The auction house will feature more than 300 jewels, including pieces from famous designers such as Van Cleef & Arpels, Graff, and Boucheron.
Other lots on sale include three unmounted diamonds. An oval, 1.01-carat, fancy-pink-purple diamond carries a $50,000 upper price, while the other two stones – a 1.64-carat, fancy-deep pink and a heart-shaped, 0.53-carat, fancy blue – each have a $35,000 high estimate.
Bonhams will also offer a diamond necklace from 1920 sporting a 7.10-carat diamond for a $35,000 high price, and a necklace bearing 34.95 carats of multicolored sapphires and 4.20 carats of diamonds with a $28,000 top estimate.
