Heritage Auctions will offer a ring featuring a 6.17-carat diamond at its upcoming sale in Dallas, Texas, where it is estimated to fetch up to $1.8 million.
At the center of the piece is an oval-shaped, fancy-pink, VVS2-clarity diamond called The Angelina, framed by full-cut diamonds and with diamonds on the band. It will star at the December 3 Holiday Fine Jewelry Signature Auction, Heritage said last week.
“Stones of this caliber are seldom seen at auction, and demand has only grown stronger,” said Jill Burgum, Heritage’s executive director of fine jewelry. “Extraordinarily rare, fancy-pink diamonds over 5 carats with remarkable clarity remain the ultimate prize for discerning collectors, sought-after now more than ever.”
The auction is presenting more than 350 lots, with several pieces featuring colored diamonds and gemstones and jewels from famous designers such as David Webb, Tiffany & Co., and Van Cleef & Arpels.
