Christie’s is set to highlight two jewels featuring colored diamonds at its upcoming Hong Kong jewelry sale, including a blue-diamond ring estimated to bring in up to HKD 80 million ($10 million).
The ring bears a marquise brilliant-cut, 5.02-carat, fancy-deep-blue, internally flawless center stone, flanked by trilliant-cut white diamonds. The lot will go up for sale at the first Hong Kong Magnificent Jewels auction to take place at the company’s new location in The Henderson on October 29, it said Wednesday.
In total, the auction house expects the 124-lot offering to fetch at least HKD 411.1 million ($51.4 million), it noted. Along with a bevy of colored diamonds and gemstones, Christie’s will offer pieces by well-known designers, including Cartier, Wallace Chan, Boghossian, Tiffany & Co., and Harry Winston.
